DEATH VALLEY NATIONAL PARK, October 7, 2009 – The Furnace Creek Resort in Death Valley National Park will offer a Winemakers Weekend package November 13-15, 2009.
The package features a two-night stay in a standard or deluxe room at the Inn at Furnace Creek or a deluxe room at the Ranch at Furnace Creek, a “Meet the Winemakers Reception,” two wine-tasting seminars and a winemakers dinner. Winemakers Julie Pedroncelli St. John of Pedroncelli Winery and Eli Parker of Fess Parker Winery will participate in the reception as well as present the seminars and discuss winemaking throughout the weekend.
Rates per room start at $397.50 at the Ranch and $537.50 per person at the Inn and include taxes and gratuities. Rates are based on double occupancy.

Pedroncelli Winery has been in business in Sonoma County’s Dry Creek Valley since 1927, focusing on Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Sauvignon Blanc.
Julie Pedroncelli St. John grew up next to Pedroncelli Winery and has been involved in the business first as her father’s administrative assistant and then in marketing and communications, serving as vice president of marketing since 1997. Eli Parker has been the president of Fess Parker Winery since 1996. The Fess Parker family purchased ranch property in December 1987. Under Eli's leadership, the winery has received generous critical acclaim and has grown to more than 700 acres in the Santa Ynez Valley. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, and Viognier are among the varietals grown that form the cornerstone of the winery's production.
