Furnace Creek Inn to Close for Summer Season
The historic Furnace Creek Inn is scheduled to close for the summer season on Sunday, May 11, 2008. As is traditional, the Inn is expected to re-open next fall on Friday, October 10, 2008. Room reservations may be made by using the form to the left of this page.
Furnace Creek Golf Course
The Furnace Creek Golf Course is open for play and is in excellent condition. This is a great time of year to take advantage of a very reasonable green fee and enjoy a round of golf on the world's lowest golf course. Furnace Creek Ranch Swimming Pool
The Furnace Creek Ranch swimming pool was completely refurbished during the summer of 2006. Since the Inn had just closed for the season, Ranch guests were able to enjoy the Inn pool during the construction work. The total remodel project took three months and included significant upgrades to the pool shell itself. The natural spring-fed, flow-through pool was then re-plastered and all new tile-work was installed, including panels featuring attractive water depth markers.
A completely new concrete deck was laid and then specially treated, so it would stay cooler to bather’s feet in the summer sun. In addition, all of the restroom and shower facilities at the pool were gutted and refurbished with new desert colored tile and fixtures, including water-conserving, automatic flush toilets and faucets.
A sunshade structure was added at the west end of the pool and a decorative stone wall, erected around the outside perimeter, complemented the entire project.
The Ranch spring-fed swimming pool is an extremely popular amenity and our guests can now enjoy a truly first class facility.
